Montreal Pictures
We’re getting backed up on pictures, so here are a bunch from our lengthy jaunt in Montreal, and the apartment we stayed in.

Canada Friends
Last night was spent getting acquainted with Canada. We focused our efforts on a bar up the street from where we are staying. A band named Le Couleur was playing, and despite being oblivious to any of the songs` subject matter, we still thoroughly enjoyed the show. A man named Philip who spends his Summers on Old Orchard Beach set out to prove the fabled hospitality of Canada and bought us a plethora of drinks. He even showed us a few magic tricks. We spent the evening meeting people in the bar and playing a few epic games of foosball. We even had our new friends write points of interest on our tourist map. The bar closed at three and we wandered back to our couch.

Montreal
Chris and I have migrated up to Montreal for a few days. We had a great time in Boston with Craig and company, but had to push on. Yesterday was spent driving here from Boston on the winding roads of the north country. Most of the drive was on 89 – a highway carved out the mountains with sprawling views that brought us through New Hampshire and Vermont across the border. We found a wonderful place to stay through couchsurfing.org and spent last night playing guitar with our great host, Maude.

Boston Olympics
Last night we kicked off the trip with an Olympic party. Billy Mays and the Magic Bullets opened with the Olympic theme and a home-made torch of rolled up paper. They supplied us with a slew of well-picked eclectic covers including “Feel Like Making Love,” “Baby’s Got Back,” and “Freebird.” They kept the energy up for a three hours set, playing to a pulsating dance floor of unbridled merriment. Here are some pictures:

Trip’s Eve
So it’s the night before the big departure date, and everything is looking to be squared away. After months of waiting for knees to recover, working hard, and killing time we’ve arrived at the exciting precipice. Anticipation has reached a pinnacle.
After much debate, we decided that we couldn’t afford to take Deardra the RV. We spent the day driving her up to her original spot in Wilton. It was kind of hard to walk away from the giant hulk of a moving house knowing that the trip would have been much different with it, but it is only one of the many shifts that we are expecting. We’ve opted for the much more economical and mobile Subaru. After some minor repairs it is all fixed up. Tomorrow we’ll pack it up and ride to Boston. Farewell Deardra…

An Open Letter to Any Company, Ever…

Like many pioneers we come to you with an earnest proposal. We are living in venomous times. The freethinking minds of today are too often restrained by invisible bars – confined by the ghostly pursuit of wealth or popularity. We seek to evade this unfortunate trap – as you so eloquently put it in your youthful slogan.
We are an assembled team of three. Dreamers each one. Youthful, multi-talented, diverse, college-educated, eclectic and people driven. We seek the happily unpredictable. We stand upon the precipice of decision, and have opted for the road.
What we can offer is a roaming advertisement – a physical representation of your free-spirited attitude. We are willing to promote your product from our great state of Maine all the way to California. We want to develop an innovative marketing strategy that we can drive from state to state – a unique story that we can tell to the worn-out youth of America. What we ask of you is the foresight and funding to do so.
The great country in which we live would have remained unsettled if it were not for the patronage of kindly and visionary donors. We thank you for your time, and sincerely look forward to your response
Best Regards,
Christopher Miller
